The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) of the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, acts as a community liaison between the Governing Board of the Children’s Board and its staff on issues relating to children and families. The CAC operates in an advisory capacity and is not a policy-making body.

The CAC has three major roles:

TO ADVISE:

• Utilize input from community and stakeholders to advise the Children’s Board.

TO ADVOCATE:

• Promote the Children’s Board in the community and develop relationships.

TO COMMUNICATE/EDUCATE:

• Engage and inform the representative community, the Governing Board, and the general public.
